He was born on January 10, 1940, in Gyálliget. He graduated from the Hungarian College of Fine Arts in 1966, with masters Iván Szabó and Pál Pátzay. The main raw materials of his works are stone and bronze, sometimes wood. He creates small sculptures, monumental public circular sculptures from the 1980s and reliefs placed on public buildings. His significant works are the millennium gate of the basilica of the Benedictine abbey in Pannonhalma, the 1956 monument in Mosonmagyaróvár and the relief commemorating the victims of the Second World War in Kecskemét. In 2011 he received the Hungarian Heritage Award, in 2015 the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary, in 2016 he received the Pro Cultura Christana Award, in 2018 the Kossuth Award.
