Boštjan Kavčič was born in Šempeter near Gorica, Slovenia in 1973.
Between 1997 and 2003 he studied Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana (ALUO). During his studies, he received the University Prešeren Award for Sculpture and graduated in the class of Prof. Lujo Vodopivec. From 2003 to 2005, he was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture for his postgraduate studies in Video at ALUO, obtaining his master's degree under the supervision of Prof. Srečo Dragan in 2007.
He has presented himself in numerous solo and group exhibitions. He has participated in various international symposia and has installed many public works.
