László Zoltán Szabó, sculptor and woodcarver, was born in 1941 in Győr, where he also completed his education. He is engaged in creating folk furniture, restoration, wood and stone sculptures. He holds the title of “Master of Folk Art”.
He has participated in several symposia of wood and stone sculptors, including Finland, Italy, Argentina, and Germany, where he also has public sculptures. He received first prize in France.
He has organized several international stone sculpture symposia in Tihany and Balatonfüred, which currently continues every year on his estate in Vöröstó, where he lives and works. He regularly participates in exhibitions abroad and in Hungary. There are many public works of him in the Balaton Uplands.
