The artist

István Vanyúr

He was born in Siklós in 1961. He began his studies as a goldsmith at the Pécs Secondary School of Art. He studied sculpture at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts. He is a member of the National Association of Hungarian Artists and, since 2004, of the Hungarian Sculpture Society. He has been a regular exhibitor since 1987, appearing in solo and group exhibitions with his work. He has been teaching at the Mihály Zichy Secondary School of Applied Arts in Kaposvár for more than 10 years.
