The artist

István Ézsiás

István Ézsiás was born in 1943 in Vinár. Initially, he also worked as a restorer, then in 1974 he graduated from the Hungarian College of Fine Arts. From 1974, he went on several study trips abroad, including Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, and the United States. His masters were Sándor A. Tóth, Amerigo Tot (Rome) and Tibor Csiky.

Its main creative locations were first Pápa, Veszprém, Győr, and from 1998 Budapest. He has been exhibiting his works since 1965.

He also works as an art organizer, organizing numerous exhibitions. He regularly participates in domestic and international exhibitions, he has had 36 solo exhibitions in Hungary.

Number of more than 100 collective exhibitions. His public sculptures can be found in Győr, Sopron, Hajdúszoboszló, Szombathely, Pápa and Tatabánya, among others. He is a member of the National Association of Hungarian Artists and the Association of Hungarian Fine and Applied Artists.
