László Juhos Szatmári was born in 1947 in Szatmárnémeti, Romania, in a Hungarian-inhabited area, and came to Hungary as a young adult. He comes from a craft family. He began his art studies at the Grammar School of Music and Fine Arts in Târgu Mureş, where he also taught drawing, painting and sculpture. After specializing, he chose sculpture, but also achieved significant success with his paintings. He settled in Szekszárd, where he has a studio and a foundry. His art was completed there. Many of his public works can be seen in Szekszárd.
In 1993, he established the Szekszárd Forma Symposion international bronze sculpture colony. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
He is a member of the National Association of Hungarian Artists and the Association of Hungarian Fine and Applied Artists.
