The artist

Enni Kalilainen

She was born in 1977 in Hyvinkää. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Finland.

Her whole life is permeated by a strong desire to react to the world, in which, in her opinion, the majority society constantly invalidates and makes her invisible, or treats people and groups strange to her as enemies.

According to her thoughts, art provides an opportunity for marginalized people to become visible and audible, as it acts as a link between different social strata.

As a color-blind, colors posed challenges for Kalilainen, so she found her main expression in sculpture. Humor, seriousness, fun, some deep sadness, ingenuity, joy, care, love and affection can be discovered in her works.
